Eat to Increase Breast Milk Supply

I know that the men in particular will be very interested in this information. Just in case some cousin or whoever needs it for future reference. It is from a brochure a lactation consultant gave me.

Remember: what makes milk is stimulation. Foods are only an addition to stimulation and will not work without stimulating breast via baby or pump.

Vegetables: Dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, collard greens; carrots, beets, yams; fennel (also relieves gas and colic), alfalfa (use with caution if allergic to peanuts or have clotting issues), nettle, parsley

Seeds, Grains, Legumes, Oats: Sesame seeds, millet, barley, rice, chickpeas, oatmeal, steel cut oats

Nuts: Almonds, cashews

Spices: Garlic, ginger, dill, caraway, tumeric, cilantro, cumin

Yeast: Brewers yeast, flaxseed

Fruit: Apricots, green papaya (use with caution if allergic to latex)
