Yogurt Sauce

Serve with the Beef and Potato Dish .

  • 2/3 cup Boondi (puffs & spice)
  • 1/2 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 onion, cut against grain into long, thin slices
  • Salt
  • 1 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 small long green chili pepper, very finely diced
  • 1 potato, peeled, boiled (until fork inserts easily) and cut very thinly into 1” strips
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala

In large bowl, cover Boondi puffs with water, then drain. Set aside. Put onion in another bowl, sprinkle with salt and mix thoroughly. Let onion sit for 15 min, then rinse with water. Add yogurt, and milk to the onion. Sprinkle with salt. Gently stir in tomato, boondi puffs, diced chili pepper, potato, and garam masala. Stir gently to combine.
